A coalition of 45 prominent youth organisations in Nigeria has announced plans to hold a world press conference on Thursday, 6 November 2025, in response to the recent military invasion threat issued by former US President Donald Trump.
According to information reaching Nigerian and international media outlets, the coalition known as the Coalition of Eminent Youth Groups aims to present a unified national position on the controversial remarks and to reaffirm the sovereignty of Nigeria.
The coalition comprises several influential youth bodies, including the Emerging Leaders Forum of Nigeria, O’odua Youth Federation, Arewa Youth Forum, Ohaneze Youth Federation, Nigerian Students Parliament, Niger Delta Youth Front, Middle-Belt Council of Youths, Young Nigerians Mandate, Movement for National Rebirth, Youth Assembly of Nigeria, and the National Council of Nigerian Students Union, among others.
In a statement ahead of the briefing, organisers said the event would reflect the collective voice of Nigerian youths on matters affecting national security and foreign relations.
Observers have described the upcoming conference as both timely and significant, given the global attention surrounding Trump’s comments. Public interest and anticipation are said to be growing as the coalition prepares to address the world.
