In a move to create oneness, unity, giving each other a sense of belonging and giving back to its Alma Mata, the Old Students of Alimoso Grammar School, ALIGRAMS, is set to Inaugurate its National Alumni Body.
The main objective of the inauguration of the newly formed body is to build a Unified Legacy aimed at creating a united family among the old Students.
Olabode Iwayeye, the Head Publicity Sub-Committee of ALIGRAMS Inauguration Committee said the initiative is rooted in a shared vision to support and uplift Alimoso Grammar School as one united family.
He stressed that the journey towards having the Alumni Body began in 2015, with a few dedicated Alumni Sets, who were passionate about giving back to the Alma Mata.
Speaking further, Iwayeye stated that there was a temporary pause, prompting the vision to be rejuvenated three years ago, when pioneering Alumni members and newly active sets combined efforts, forming the ALIGRAMS National Chairman Forum.
He added that since then, the National Body has flourished, gaining formal recognition as a registered entity under the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) and establishing a reputable Board of Trustees.
He furthermore stressed that at the moment, over 20 Alumni Sets have joined forces on the Chairman’s platform.
According to Iwayeye, “throughout the past year, they have fostered a close synergy with the school administration and maintained valuable involvement with the Parent-Teacher Forum, where many of our Alumni actively contribute to both the Junior and Senior Schools”.
He however appealed to all Old Students of the great institution to join the national train and contribute their quota in making the legacy of the School greater.
Iwayeye further added that the National Alumni Body is to unify the efforts of all Alumni sets, by making a lasting impact to their beloved school.
In his words, “He said we recognize and deeply appreciate the individual contributions of each set, yet we believe that by joining forces, we can achieve even more”.
The Inauguration Ceremony is scheduled to hold on the 21st December, 2024, at the Alimoso Junior Grammar School Hall while Two Representatives from each Alumni Set is expected to grace the occasion as they embark on their shared mission.
Rasheed Ogunniran and Bukola Awonuga the Secretary and Chairman of the Inauguration Committee respectively added that as part of the process, the Protem National Executive Committee has assembled distinguished and notable Alumni who have excel in their respective fields to serve in the capacity as Board of Trustees members.
Ogunniran call for support of every set, urging them to contribute to this vision, by standing together to honour and elevate their Alma Mata.
