In a tragic incident, a promising student, Ola Fabiyi, was brutally murdered by suspected cultists while taking an examination at Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED) in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State.
Reports indicate that Fabiyi, a SUG senator, was dragged out of the examination hall by the assailants, who ruthlessly assaulted and stabbed him before whisking him away to a nearby bush where they shot and killed him on Wednesday, July 3, 2024.
The horrifying incident occurred in the presence of his colleagues, who watched helplessly as Fabiyi was brutally attacked and kidnapped by the assailants. The security personnel in the school, unfortunately, arrived only after the attackers had already escaped. Fabiyi was then hurriedly taken to a hospital, but he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Reports indicate that Fabiyi was celebrating his birthday on the day of his tragic demise, and he was also looking forward to signimg out from the university on the same day. As of now, there has been no official statement released by either the university authorities or the police regarding this devastating incident.
