A growing coalition of youths in Zamfara State has called on Sanusi Bala Turaki to consider contesting in the 2027 elections, citing the need for fresh leadership and a new direction for the state.
Under the banner “MAITUTA27,” the group said there is increasing pressure from residents for Turaki to respond to what they described as the “yearnings and aspirations” of the people.
“The real move is coming,” the group declared, expressing confidence in Turaki’s ability to provide purposeful leadership and restore stability in the state.
According to them, the demand for leadership in Zamfara is no longer driven by political party affiliations, but by the urgent need for credible individuals who can deliver meaningful change.
They stressed that many residents are prioritising improved security, good governance, and sustainable development over partisan considerations.
The group added that Zamfara requires a leader who can unite the people, address lingering challenges, and reposition the state for progress.
