In a significant development within Lagos State’s political landscape, the 2023 Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial candidate, Olajide Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, announced his departure from the party alongside a large contingent of supporters.
The announcement was made during a press conference held at Liberty Place in Ikeja, Lagos.
Jandor attributed his decision to leave the PDP to the actions of certain party leaders, including former Deputy National Chairman, Chief Olabode George, whom he accused of undermining the party’s efforts during the 2023 elections.
Jandor said, “We will consult widely with everybody and then take the decision to collapse our structure to another platform. What is on ground now is that we have left the Peoples Democratic Party,” he said.
